Agreement to these terms

By using VoyageLedger you accept these terms. If you disagree with any part of them, please stop using the site. They apply to every visitor — no account is needed to use VoyageLedger, and none is needed to be bound by this.

What VoyageLedger provides

VoyageLedger publishes travel information — hotel and restaurant listings, visa requirements, daily cost estimates, itineraries, and halal-friendly travel details — alongside a set of free planning tools. Everything is provided for general information and planning. It is a reference, not a booking service: we do not sell travel, take payments, hold reservations, or act as an agent for any hotel, airline, or tour operator.

Accuracy of travel information

We work hard to keep this site accurate, we cite where our figures come from, and we date them so you can judge how fresh they are. Even so, travel information goes out of date faster than almost any other kind. Prices change daily, visa rules change without notice, restaurants close, and certifications lapse.

VoyageLedger is therefore provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the content is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose.

Not professional advice

Nothing on VoyageLedger is professional advice. Specifically:

• Visa and citizenship pages are not immigration or legal advice. Entry rules depend on your nationality, history, and purpose of travel, and only the relevant authority can tell you what applies to you.
• Cost, budget, and currency information is not financial advice. Exchange rates and prices move, and our figures are planning baselines rather than quotes.
• Health, safety, and destination notes are not medical or security advice. Consult your doctor and your government's travel advisories.

The planning tools

The visa checker, travel budget calculator, packing list generator, and currency converter produce estimates and general guidance. They run in your browser against datasets that are reviewed periodically, not continuously, and they cannot account for your individual circumstances.

A budget the calculator returns is a reasonable planning figure, not a guaranteed cost. A visa result tells you the general rule for a passport and destination, not a determination on your application. Treat every output as a starting point for your own checks.

Affiliate links and outside sites

VoyageLedger contains affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission when you book or buy through them at no additional cost to you. This is explained in full in theAffiliate Disclosure, and affiliate links are marked in the page code as sponsored.

The site also links to sites we have no relationship with. We do not control any third-party site, and we are not responsible for its content, its accuracy, its privacy practices, or anything you buy there. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it. Once you follow a link, that site's own terms and privacy policy govern your visit, and any dispute over a booking or purchase is between you and that company.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically copy the site's content or datasets, whether by automated means or otherwise, except for ordinary search engine indexing.
• Republish substantial portions of our content without written permission and attribution.
• Attempt to interfere with the site's operation, probe it for vulnerabilities, or place undue load on the infrastructure serving it.
• Use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes someone else's rights.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with VoyageLedger.

Our content

The written content, page structure, compiled datasets, tools, design, and the VoyageLedger name and logo are owned by VoyageLedger and protected by copyright and other intellectual property law.

You may read the site, print pages for your own trip planning, and quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link back. You may not reproduce the site wholesale, resell our data, or use our content to train a commercial model without written permission. Ask us — the answer is often yes.

Third-party content

Photography on this site is largely licensed from Unsplash and remains the property of the photographers. Place data, ratings, weather figures, prayer times, and exchange rates derive from third-party sources and APIs, and remain subject to their terms. Business names and trademarks belong to their owners and appear here for identification only.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VoyageLedger is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from reliance on anything published here. That expressly includes a denied visa or refused entry, a missed flight or connection, a cost that exceeded an estimate, a booking made through a third party, a closed or changed venue, or food that did not meet a dietary requirement you were relying on us for.

This limitation does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the narrowest exclusion permitted there applies instead.

You agree to indemnify VoyageLedger against claims arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.

Availability and changes

We make no promise that the site will be available uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, move, or remove any part of it — including pages, tools, and datasets — at any time and without notice.

These terms may be revised as the site develops. The revision date at the top of the page marks the current version, and continuing to use VoyageLedger after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
